Application and Summary of Calcium Sulfate Whisker in Road Asphalt

Abstract: With the improvement of living standards, vehicles, for example cars and the axle load of freight cars are rapid growing, asphalt application in various road is more widely used and the type is also growing. Calcium sulfate whisker have the following obvious advantages applied to road asphalt, such as high strength, good toughness, high temperature resistance, chemical resistance, strong affinity, non-toxic and low price etc. This paper mainly introduces the application of calcium sulfate whisker in road asphalt.
